Day 1 - Nov. 03 2013

We departed NAIA 3 at around 9AM via CEBU PACIFIC AIRLINE.

At around 10AM  we landed at Kalibo International Airport.

From the Airport, we decided to have a quick sidetrip around Kalibo before we headed to Boracay.  So we hired a tricycle to bring us to Town proper and had our early lunch at RML Manokan Haus.

 And our lunch.... Lechon Manok...

And something different... SINIGANG NA DANGGIT.... wow! common lets eat on kamayan style.

RML MANOKAN HAUS is located at Mabini St. The food is great and service is good.

As we started our quick visit around Kalibo, we went first to Town's Hall.

At Plazoleta..  (a distance walk from town hall).

 Sto. Nino Church...

 The Pastrana Park...

 The Museum...

 BAKHAWAN ECO PARK....

Kalibo's Bakhawan Eco-Park is a 220- hectare Mangrove forest which started in 1990 with just 50 hectares of reclaimed land created by the Kalibo Save the Mangrove Association (KASAMA for short).

When you are in Kalibo, I highly recommend to find time to visit this place. Surely, you will enjoy the 1.1KM eco-trail as you walk on the bamboo bridge. The lust of green mangrove forest  will fascinate you and will give you a relaxing feeling. It was a great experience that you will always cherish whenever you think about nature. Believe me IT'S A MUST VISIT when you are in Kalibo.

From Bakhawan Ecopark we took our chance to buy some native products at town's market.

The last place we visited...    The AKLAN PROVINCIAL CAPITOL...  Actually we had visited this place exactly one year ago (Nov. 2012) by that time, the Capitol Building is still under construction.

It was really good to see the wonderful places around KALIBO for the second time around and we will do it again and again whenever we are going to Boracay.

So it was time to go... to the PARADISE....

It was so great to spend some time at this place.  Just seat back, relax at the cottage, enjoy the cool wind, blue skies and then take a nap... hahaha...

Our plan was to stay on this resort for just 2 hours, but  the clock tic so fast that we did not notice the time.  Then I heard somebody saying more..more..more.. (including me)... so,  we extended for 1 more hour.
